For all that ask "Hey steve, do you have a cd available of your group?" I am finally going to do it. I am making my first recording, paid for myself, released on my own label. Some say, hey that's great...you'll have complete artistic control, right? I say, well, I wouldn't accept a deal that didn't allow me any artistic control...no, the truth is, I just plain and simple don't have a record deal. I just really want to do this...I feel that recording is very much a personal project that I very much would like to share with anyone who will listen. I am hiring some of the best people in the jazz business to help me bring this project to completion...Steve Laspina on bass, Anthony Pinciotti on drums, recording by grammy award-winning Bennett Studios, and co-produced by veteran jazz recording artist Andy Laverne.
